What is MetroPCS MyExtras?
It is a FREE service that delivers graphically rich and interactive messages to the idle screen of your mobile phone. Messages are delivered periodically during the day and include content such as weather forecasts, sports scores, entertainment, and information about local events, as well as promotional offers and exclusive discounts. For your convenience, all the messages are automatically saved in a separate folder for later review and redemption.
Why would I want MyExtras?
MyExtras sends you exclusive and valuable offers to your phone, as well as providing content filled with fun and useful information for your daily life. You will receive the best offers from local and national businesses about new products, contests and discounted goods and services. In addition to that, you will receive content such as weather information, movie releases, sports scores, fun facts and trivia, etc.
What will MyExtras cost me?
Nothing—the service is absolutely free! We give you content and exclusive offers and promotions from businesses in your area to help you spend your money wisely. You are not charged anything for downloading the application or for the use of the application.
What kind of offers are going to be sent to me?
You'll receive everything, from daily specials at local restaurants and sales at your favorite stores to prize giveaways for merchandise, food and tickets to sporting events, concerts or movies.
You will also receive timely and useful information such as weather and fun information from the world of sports and entertainment.
How can I get MyExtras on my phone?
First you have to make sure your phone is MyExtras compatible. A list of eligible devices can be found on the MyExtras website

Downloading may differ slightly based on your phone model. If you are having difficulty getting the application, please call Customer Service by dialing *611 from your MetroPCS phone or 1-888-8metro8 (1-888-863-8768).
Is MyExtras available on all phone models?
Will using MyExtras interfere with my phone service?
No. MyExtras software is tailored specifically for optimal user experience. It will not interrupt phone calls or other uses of the phone. It is designed to deliver information to your phone when it is not in use.
Will I still be able to store photos, ringtones and contact information?
Yes. Content, discounts and offers presented through MyExtras require minimal memory, and should not affect the functionality of your phone's other software and applications. You will be able to download ringtones and games, and store photos and contact information.
When and where will I be able to use MyExtras?
You will receive MyExtras anywhere within network coverage area. Offers will be delivered to your phone at various times throughout the day, and you will be able to review previously delivered content for the lifetime of that offer by opening the application at any time.
Can I receive offers from different areas when I'm traveling?
MyExtras will be tailored to the ZIP code that you enter at the time of registration on your phone. They will be available anywhere the network has data connectivity.
How will I know when there is a software update available?
We will alert you of all applicable updates through the MyExtras service. When an application update is available, you will be able to easily obtain the update through @Metro—without having to visit a store.
Is there a service document that I am agreeing to by signing up for MyExtras?
Yes—our Terms of Service (TOS) are located online at

If you download the application from the BREW Catalogue, MyExtras will send you a message asking you to accept TOS. A similar message will be available in your Recent Offers Menu, allowing you to accept TOS at a later time.

How do I open MyExtras, or view current offers and content again after they have been dismissed?

I received an offer a few days ago. I was planning on using it, but it's not in my Recent Offers. How do I get it back?
Can I change the sound the MyExtras application makes? Can I turn the volume down or off?
You are able to disable the MyExtras alert sound by choosing “Options” from within the Recent Offers Menu. While you are in the “Options” menu you can also set your sound option to the following selections:
- Sound on – your phone will play a sound to alert you that an offer has arrived
- Vibrate on – your phone will vibrate when an offer has arrived
- Both – your phone will vibrate and play a sound when an offer has arrived
- None – your phone will not notify you when an offer has arrived
I was typing a text message when I received an offer. Can I get back to my message draft?
Yes, though the process may differ depending on your phone model. Most phones will not receive offers until you are finished sending your text messages. Some phones will allow you to simply dismiss the offer and return to the text you were entering. If this is not the case, you may be able to retrieve it by going into “Drafts” under the “Messages” folder in the main menu.
I don't want a certain type of content; is there any way I can block specific offers?
No, but you can let us know! MyExtras allows you to Rate an Offer—give it a rating out of five stars—that will help us to determine what offers users want most. Offers that do not generate interest are less effective and can then be removed or updated. Rest assured, MyExtras is always working to send you the most valuable and useful offers possible.
I'm receiving offers too early in the morning/too late at night—what can I do?
You may turn the sound off within the Recent Offers Menu. To disable the MyExtras alert sound, choose “Options” from within the Recent Offers Menu and select “None.” This will disable the alert sounds of the offers being delivered.

How do I cancel MyExtras?
If you decide you don't like receiving MyExtras, you can suspend the software from your phone by emailing us at Please send an email to Customer Service at

I'm receiving offers from retailers and restaurants that are not in my area; what can I do?
Please send an email to Customer Service at
myextrassupport@mobileposse.com and let us know that your address, and specifically your zip code, may be incorrectly labeled in your account information. Accurate information should help ensure that you receive pertinent local offers on your phone.
I'm getting an error [or insufficient memory] message when I try to download ringtones; what do I do?
Your phone memory may be full. Phone memory varies by handset model, but to determine your available memory you can follow this procedure:
